Into the Fire

Not feelin’ it, friends.

But I finally get the argument between the literary folks vs. commercial fiction. The literary buffs tend to get incensed because the commercial fiction sells so well while for the most part the literary novels–with definite exceptions–have a distinct but narrow following and must fight and scratch for their market share. Not everybody is wired to recognize “great” writing or to appreciate severely inwardly focused fiction.

God, why don’t we see each other as you see us? We are so often quick to criticize. Lord Jesus, help me to be more like you. I’m desperate for you. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
