For those who gave it all, we honor you. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your service. Thank you for fighting for freedom. The United States of America cannot thank you enough.

Father, I pray for all of those who are actively serving this country today. I pray you would reach them with the Truth, protect them with your divine right hand, supply them with courage and strength, and somehow let them know how truly grateful we are for their service to our country. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Amen to that. It’s so hard–what they face every day. Even if not time of war there can be terrible training accidents and other things that can end a soldier’s life abruptly.
And it’s also hard when some families suffer the loss of their loved ones, and other soldiers come home. I think about that a lot. Fortunately, my Dad came home from Vietnam. Many did not. My heart aches for them and many like them in other wars.
God bless and protect all who serve, may they know Jesus personally as Lord and Savior, and may we as a nation of people be worthy of God’s call.
