    Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake.
It’s what helped me survive the first 9 weeks post op rotator cuff surgery. Seriously.
I wish I was one of those rare few who hated chocolate. Although probably even if I did, my very large sweet tooth would probably still remain.
I liked it better in the olden days when I could eat a truckload of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups whenever I wanted and suffer no consequences. 😎

Oh my word, Brenda. Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake?! I hadn’t heard of it, and I think Godiva chocolate just might be my favorite all-time. And, yeah, don’t we long for the old days when we could power down all kinds of sweets and not know the difference. Sigh. “Those were the days, my friend. I thought they’d never end.”

My favorite dessert is Applebees’ butter pecan blondie. It’s a maple nut brownie served on a sizzling hot plate, topped with ice cream, glazed pecans, and a rich cream cheese sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking of it.

Wow! Never heard of that one either, Bren.
Truth be known, my absolute favorite desserts are pies, homemade. Especially my mom’s cherry pie. Like my dad’s spaghetti which was served most Sundays at our house, there was something special about her pies in general, but those cherry pies make up a special memory. And she always fretted over her pie crusts, yet she never made a bad one. (But then I’d eat pie for breakfast everyday if I could. Sigh.)

    Speaking of cherries….
I can’t get away with it any more but I used to love taking a tub of whipped cream and dumping in a can of cherry pie filling. Delicious!!!!!!

Brenda, one of my favorite pies is the Cherry Creamcheese Pie, the easiest pie in the world to make and one of the most delicious. You can use a conventional pie crust or graham cracker crusts of any flavor (8 inch). Mix (with a mixer) a softened package of cream cheese with one can of sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Stir in 1/3 cup lemon juice until smooth. Add either one teaspoon vanilla or one teaspoon almond flavoring (or peppermint or whatever) and stir until blended. Pour into pie shell and top with a 21 oz. can of Wilderness Pie Cherries (or strawberries, blueberries, etc.). Refrigerate for at least six hours. Yum.

P.S. It’s best to beat the creamcheese until smooth before adding the sweetened condensed milk.
