Nothing like losing or rejection to bring you back down to earth. Ascension to descension can happen rather quickly but tends to linger.

When the fun things become not so much, life's troubles regain their hold and seem to take center stage again in your thoughts. No escape.

Priorities and the "big scheme of things" get reluctantly re-evaluated. Attitudes often refuse to re-adjust. A good pout or a stint of anger takes precedence. Dang.
