Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

                         Untitled

When you huff and puff into the ER, force out a whispered "shortness of breath" and "racing heart", sometimes it means you get to spend the night. And from someone who has never developed a fondness for doctors even though the majority have treated me well in the few times I've had to visit them, this is not the result you hope to achieve when you finally give in to what definitely begins to feel dire.

Yes, I spent Wednesday night in the hospital with some serious A-Fib issues which came on suddenly a few days before. Late Wednesday night the symptoms worsened instead of improving, and I had no choice. Couldn't catch my breath and my heart stomped furiously in my chest.

I'm home, thank the Lord, with three prescriptions for a season. And I'm really not a pill taker. However, I do not wish to experience any of those wretched symptoms again, so I will do my due dilligence for now.

Always appreciate your prayers. I'm fine now. Phew.

Spiritually, the devil tries to take us down at every opportunity. Sometimes it's in the health arena. We fight and we believe. We keep going and we know He's in charge. Whatever happens, God wins.

Thank you, Jesus, for providing healing of all kinds. Thank you for providing insights and revelations amdist the chaos and, yes, fear. Thank you, God, for always being there even in the darkness. We're desperate for you. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Oh not fun at all. When I saw the picture I thought you were going to talk about a tv show. So glad you’re home now. I’ll keep praying.

Debra, that was my first thought too–TV show.

I appreciate you guys so much. Just wanted to let my friends into a piece of my life. It’s not easy to admit fragilities. Had no idea this would happen to me. Really not one to be on prescription medicine. Unfortunately, for now, I don’t really have a choice. Thank you for your prayers – I’m fully convinced those are what matter most and bring ultimate healing. Thank you. Love you guys.

Oh, how frightening! Glad to know you’re home and that you will be okay. I’m not a big fan of medicine either, but sometimes it is necessary. Prayers going up for you!

Just read the beautiful first sentence of Psalm 19:7 in the ESV and thought of you and this new challenge you’re facing.
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul

I just saw this. I am so sorry and will be praying for all to be made well. My BF experienced this same thing in April. She is active and doing well now. But, she followed the doctors advise to a “T”. And had lots of prayers. That is what we are here for…to give each other love and support. Sending love, hugs and my prayers to one of my favorites!

So appreciate your prayers, Lynnette. They matter most to me. I see a cardiologist at the end of the month. Hate taking the medication. Hate it. But thankful for the experience – it has a purpose. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.
