Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

Five things I wish I'd never given away:

My soft leather black boots that went all the way up – yes, all the way. Loved them. (Saw them in "Vogue" magazine.)

My grey double-breasted lined wool cape. It was so cool. I miss it.

My large stack of LPs – those are records – vinyls to you youngsters. Oh my. I can't believe I gave them all away.

A couple of my favorite novels – actually, I didn't intend to "give them away". I just never got them back from whoever "borrowed" them.

I'll just say another pair of grey leather knee-high boots to conclude, and there were a few other pieces of clothing.

All of these were given away a long time ago, but I still wish I hadn't done it.

Lord, you've given me an abundance, but I miss those things I never should've given away because they were special. Thank you for them all and everything since. You've been so gracious and generous to me. Thank you is never enough. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
