Friday I will have a reunion with two best friends from my childhood. We grew up together until after 7th grade (the worst year of my youth) when I moved way far north of our neighborhood. When you're too young to drive, it seems like another country. A different school, friends to be made,…

Well done!. Love the fireplace in the kitchen (I'd give the "hearth" more room), the floor, cabinet wood tone, table backed up to the island. Yeah, works for me. I even like the "stucco" effect on the walls. Very pretty.   Lord, you're amazing. Trite but true. Words fail when describing your endless creativity. Thank…

This one brings tears to my eyes every time. Who am I kidding? I cry out loud and have to leave the room. What a beautiful commercial. Every little girl's dream . . . at least it was mine.   God, you put that amazing love for horses in me. Then you fulfilled…

Simple, pretty, and efficient without feeling too small. Light and nice wood in flooring and cabinetry. I like it.   Father, everything beautiful comes from you. You are the source of grand design and the imagination. Thank you for it all. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Some "D" words I find potent and expressive. You? Damnation Diatribe Destination Despicable Decadent Disruptive Disciple Disdain Diffuse Depraved Dialogue Deplorable   Father, there are never enough beautiful words to describe you or what you do, who you are. Never enough. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

If you enjoyed the first Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland, this one looks every bit as fantastical. Normally, I don't care for these kinds of movies, but the first Alice was very well done, and I suspect Alice Through the Looking Glass will be too.   Father, if only they knew you were the source…

The only things I don't like are the chair covers. Otherwise, I love it.   Ah, Lord, I guess I love the rustic beauty. I know all things of beauty come from you and your immense creativity. I'm in awe and always, always desperate for you. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

One of these days our family will be moving to a new home in a city just southeast of our current location. We're familiar with our new area having attended church there several years ago, and we have friends we've known for many years who live there. Change is in the air. Leaving our…

But when John rebuked Herod the tetrarch because of Herodias, his brother's wife, and all the other evil things he had done, Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.      When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying,  heaven was opened…
