Into the Fire

Let’s see. How ’bout some fun things I LIKE?

1.A good book. Ha! Big surprise.

2.A genuine response to heartfelt thoughts, words, deeds. It can be so easy to blow people off–I love it when someone recognizes and appreciates sincerity.

3.A good laugh. The snorting, doubled-over, tears flowing, stomach hurting hysteria kind. Actually I LOVE those.

4.Delicious Chai Tea when it’s made just right.

5.Listening to the birds sing in the Spring.

That was hard! I realized that I LOVE so many things, it was difficult to just say I LIKED them. So, things I really LOVE (keep in mind I said THINGS now) . . .

1.Coca Cola. The best. And milk. Not together.

2.A good sermon. A good worship session. Good prayer time.

3.A good book. Ha! Big surprise. (And so original.)

4.Oh mercy, shoes!

5.Sun. Summer nights (and days, of course). The ocean. The country. The mountains in summer.

Alright, enough already. I can be so over the top.

Father, I love you. I love you, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, I cherish that you live in such a wretch as me. May all I do, say, and write bless you, Lord. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
