Yes, restless still. Waiting. Is it change that’s coming? That expectancy is still with me, and yet there is nothing I can do to assist . . . assist what?
The unseen is busy, constant and constantly. So much going on in the Kingdom. The heart of God active for His people. The voice of Jesus in constant intercession. The whispers of the Holy Spirit giving counsel and comfort to all who’ll listen to His voice. Peculiar people, we are.
I get some of it now. Finally. In the beginning I had no idea of how things worked in the publishing arena. And there is always much to learn—it isn’t over by a long shot, that is, if I persevere.
At times it feels like being back in high school. The cliques. The “in” crowds. The “lingo”. Or heading back in time to the days of Ken Kesey and The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test: “You’re either on the bus or off the bus.” That was before the Jones’ gang ever thought of drinking the juice.
Forward is the only direction in the Lord. Press on. Diligence. Service—no matter what we do, it’s a part of our journey.
The parts of a new novel are swirling around, needing to be on screen yet not quite ready. Restless . . .
Father, settle this restlessness or spur me on with definition, direction, and dauntless determination to do what you have for me to do. Help me, Lord, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
