Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

Or trippings . . .

Bloggers who’ve been at it awhile are taking breaks all over the blogosphere. Who can blame them? It’s challenging to keep up even on a once a week schedule.

Others of us just getting started, more or less, are noticing the demands of this little pet. Scratching at the door wanting in or out . . . sometimes the time is there and we gladly make the sidetrip out the door to take the walk into communicating all kinds of thoughts, comments, essays, or fun and frivolous stuff. Other times we feel the nag, nag, nag of writing or collecting something to POST on this darn thing. We wonder why we thought it was a good idea to obtain this little monster.

But we know. We remember. And we press on. Not even because we believe someone will benefit from it or enjoy it or even visit it, for cryin’ out loud. No, there are a few of us out here who need to write some things down, and this is as good a way as any. Expression, when done appropriately, can be therapeutic. It enhances observations and provides clarity to those thoughts which escape our conscious search. Suddenly, it evolves out of the words thrown down in an effort to keep up with the blog entry.

So, it’ll be a year in August for me here at “Into the Fire”. Wow. Carrying on. Summer breaks in store? Who knows? I’ll try to keep it fresh, an occasional sanctuary, or something not quite the same as . . . as before or as the norm or as whatever feels out of place? We shall see . . .

Father, you are the refresher, the One who gives rest to weary souls, the Living Water that quenches nagging thirst. I come to you for my inspiration and perseverance. Pour into me from your vast supply. I welcome you always. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
