Into the Fire

“Saturday Sample . . .” has been on hiatus, but we have a new guest contributor coming up this Saturday. Louisiana writer Dayle James Arceneaux will be featured, giving readers a chance to view the first chapter of his first novel Dancing with Butterflies, now being considered by two publishing houses. Speaking of feedback, all of us want it. No, we don’t want criticism or to be critiqued unless we ask for it, but we do want those who enjoy our work or are intrigued by our premise to leave a comment for us. We’re writers for cryin’ out loud. We’re doing our level best to communicate, to entertain, to share a story. When readers withhold comments, we have to figure they didn’t value our writing sample enough to take the time to say even something as simple as “Good job.”
