Christmas joy has come, no reason for it to be gone. Just because the day is past, the meaning remains. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Remind yourself of who gave you life, hope, dreams, talents, gifts, and all those intangibles that make up your inner strengths—and who loves you in spite of your many weaknesses and failings. God has a plan for you, and you’re only partially through with it. The journey is in progress, and the Lord waits for your obedience to the plan.
If you dare try to wing it on your own, I fear for you. I’ve been there and tried that. Doesn’t work real well.
As the year winds down to a close, and a new year looms near, who will you follow? Who will you allow to be your master? Who do you want to emulate, resonate, and imitate? If not Jesus, who?
Open your heart to His true desire for you. Stretch yourself. Be a servant to Him instead of self. Commit to more . . . of Him. Dare to go deeper in the Spirit with your Lord. Quit holding back even a tiny corner of your heart. Surrender.
Father, I want all you have for me. You’re the designer. Let me know you more and see through your eyes. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
