Into the Fire

These comments are not meant to be provocative. They are meant for serious consideration. I’m not trying to incite a debate or garner opinions or alienate friends. And, mostly, since I’m posting this on a Saturday when few will likely stop by, it’s an outlet for my hopes. So here goes . . .

If you have always been a Democrat and are a Christian, I would simply ask you to consider the platform currently representing Democrat ideology.

Abortion is of utmost importance to the Democrat candidates—a non-negotiable “right” they actively promote and favor under the guise of giving women a “choice”. Abortion is and always has been the brutal murder of a real child.

It is the liberal agenda incorporated into the Democrat platform to issue birth control to sixth graders without parental consent, having already gained the right for teens to acquire abortions without parental consent.

As a direct “descendent” of abortion, the Democrats promote embryonic stem cell research even though adult stem cells are the only stem cells proven to offer healing properties.

Withholding funding for the war in Iraq was not because they didn’t support it but because the bill to continue funding didn’t include funding for their pork barrel add-ons.

By not funding the war they were potentially endangering the lives of our soldiers abroad and sending the message that this country does not support their efforts to bring stability to the nations of Iraq and Afghanistan and to keep the terrorists away from the USA.

If you don’t support the war in Iraq, please consider these two things. Number one, in the initial discussions about the war, President Bush made one thing very clear: It was going to take a long time to accomplish subduing an exploited nation and resetting a government from a people who have been historically victimized by a regime. Historians say it takes AT LEAST 5 years to begin to facilitate the changes and see the results of those changes.

Number two, since we took the war on terror across the seas, it is not taking place on our shores.

None of the candidates, regardless of what they say to the public, will remove the troops from Iraq because they know if they do this before the Iraqis can firmly establish a government and defense for their nation, it will be overrun by terrorists who will once again be launching the war on our soil.

When you hear this party’s cries for restoring our respect in the world, keep in mind that the French and the Canadians in their recent elections voted into leadership pro-USA candidates to lead their nations, eliminating anti-USA leaders.

The Democrats are the ones who want to give illegal aliens amnesty, financial aid, and driver’s licenses.

The Democrats insist that taxes must be raised in order to support their ever increasing social programs instead of cutting worthless programs and the funding for illegal aliens’ health care, college educations, and the same privileges belonging to legal citizens.

The Democrats are the ones who support the increased efforts to remove Judeo/Christian references, plaques, insignias (on money), and free speech rights for Christians.

The major proponents of global warming are Democrats. The earth definitely sustains climate changes. These have been monitored for as long as science has been able to recognize and record these activities. Real science states that the last global warming period concluded in 1998 and has since been receding. It’s a hoax, folks, and the “real” science purported by Gore and associates is manufactured. God is the only One who will ultimately destroy this planet.

Please consider these issues. Learn more. Pray hard.

God, you are not Republican, Democrat, Independent, or Green. You are God. You set the standard, not us. You are holy, and we are to “be holy” because you are. Help us, Lord, to know and understand and diligently seek after you and what you desire. We know you are the giver of life. We need to follow you. Help us. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
