Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

It doesn’t come from similar ideals. It doesn’t come from compromise. It doesn’t come from weighing all sides of issues. It doesn’t come from the leader of a group. Real unity only comes from the Spirit of God.

Real unity is produced from Truth. Not opinions. Nor positions. The Spirit of Truth, as the Holy Spirit is called, initiates it and if given the freedom to move will bring people around to agreement.

People can bemoan the divisions of politics in government or in and of the churches, but the point is moot. Whatever it takes to arrive at agreement in the Spirit is not being exercised in order to bring it about. Prayer and spiritual warfare break down demonic walls, but who takes the time to engage the enemy with the spiritual big guns?

Opposition to one another is our doing, not God’s. He emphasizes our love for one another will attest to others outside The Church that we are who we say we are. That when we profess our devotion to Christ and our brotherhood in Him and with each other, the unbelievers will see that unique love and notice the strength and conviction it carries with it.

The Spirit brings true unity. We can’t manufacture it or design it or conjure it up in ourselves. It is divine. Because of that, it is not attainable by simply desiring it. We must seek it from God, from His holy revelation, and once found: embrace it and cling to it. For the days are dark. The apostasy can appear at anytime. The spirit of antichrist exists and seeks to destroy us all.

Deep within us all is the core of who we are. Who do we truly love more than all others and all else. Truth? It doesn’t compromise. It’s pure. It comes from God.

Father, we come before you in the Name of Jesus and ask for your Spirit of Truth to guide us in all we say and do. In the Name of Jesus, we are desperate for you. Amen.
