Here is the truth in fiction. If I could, these are some of the fictional male characters in books I’ve read who I would love to meet in no particular order:
Mitch Rapp (Created by Vince Flynn) Oh my. This is the ultimate man’s man. A true hero. A true patriot. Sees in black and white. A simmering passion for doing the right thing at all costs. Love him. (Hope he finds Jesus at some point.)
Michael Hosea (Created by Francine Rivers, inspired by Hosea) He’s the manifestation of the ultimate in spiritual manhood. Perfect (as is humanly possible) and sacrificial obedience and passion. Love him.
Lance Michelli (Created by Kristen Heitzmann) Passionate in every possible way, prone to make a mistake because of that passion, a romantic and spiritual character that is the manifestation of my male side. (?) I would be him if I was a man.
Tyler Buchannan (Created by James Scott Bell) Clever and crafty, dashing, passionate, understated vulnerability and sensitivity, protective, and a man’s man. He suppresses and denies his spiritual longings and refuses to address them, but they’re always pursuing him. He is a great character.
Will Hatfield (Created by Chris Fabry) A picture of undying love and devotion through the most harrowing and ugly situations including his imprisonment. His kind of love is what every woman longs to have. A truly beautiful man.
Special Agent Doug Bradford (Created by Jeanette Windle) Courageous, cocky, sensitive, all man. Willing to do whatever will get it done including giving his life. A desirable, well-rounded, and duty-bound man who knows how to love.
Beck Easton (Created by Tom Morrisey) Former Marine Diver tends to say it all. He's magnetic, manly, daring but understands risk. All man.
Yours?
Lord, thank you for all the inspiration you provide for characters that touch the heart and soul. Jesus, you're the ultimate Hero, Savior, God-man. Thank you.
