** To give credit where credit is due: the very clever phrase above was seen on a sign in the crowd at the Seahawks v. Saints game. If I knew who came up with it, I would acknowledge his/her name here. Great sign.

Okay, I can understand it a bit better with the explanation. I thought you’d had too much left over eggnog. 😎

I’ll tell you a secret. I’m not a big fan of the who dat thing. That’s tantamount to heresy around here so I keep my mouth shut.
Matt played a great game. Our D was horrendous. It’s probably a good thing we lost. We’re out of running backs. You won’t get far like that.

I thought the sign was very clever.
Thank you for commenting positively on Matt’s playing. To be lined up against the previous and deserving Super Bowl Champs and play well is a blessing. We have some great athletes and awesome potential. No offense to any of the teams, but our injuries this season rival any in the league. We’ve had key players unable to play for weeks and put on IR, so while I sympathize, we’ve had to play through them and without key players throughout the season. To hear the talking heads you’d think our best offerings produced horrendous losses and it was sheer “luck” that we could put a winning team on the field.
Saturday, it was all about how badly the other team played and never about how well we did.

The media picks their darlings and they never give the other teams credit. If Dallas wins one game their going to the superbowl, if Seattle or New Orleans (before last year) win a game, that’ll end when they play Dallas. Look at the hype for the Superbowl last year. Most were saying there is no way Manning doesn’t go in there and pick the Saints apart.
All week, all the Hawks heard was how they didn’t belong on the same field. You challenge those guys manhood that much and they’ll respond.
Seattle played better. They dominated our offensive line, our defensive line, and Matt was on fire. Drew was hot too, but he can’t score 45 points every week. Saints had a top ten defense and the Hawks put up over 40.

Yes, the media had the Dallas Cowboys in their new stadium for this year’s Super Bowl before the season began and all their weaknesses paraded across TV screens. And it’s also fascinating how they can turn on a dime when they dump a favorite.
I love Drew Brees. He’s a class individual and a great athlete.
We played a good game, and we move on. We’ll be the underdogs again and rightfully so. Beating a team once in regular season guarantees nothing in post-season. They have a vendetta and they’ll be at home.
As diehard long-suffering fans, we’re enjoying seeing the team play to its potential for two games in a row.
