Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

In the afterglow of Christmas . . .

Yay! Got Dry As Rain by Gina Holmes. And a Kindle. And a Seahawks hoodie. Yay!

Probably will go see the second Sherlock Holmes film today.

Lord, every good and perfect gift comes from you. It's never about physical gifts, but thank you for mine. I love them. I love you. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

I don’t know how you’ll like it but I LOVE my Kindle. Second best invention after the computer. This was my first year with an e-reader and I’ve downloaded about 275 book this year (haven’t read near that many, but I’ll be working on it, slowly but surely over the years).
I love being able to tote a bookcase with me wherever I go.

I’m sure I’ll love it too, Brenda. Just need to learn how to use it. It’ll be handy, I know that.
Hope you had a marvelous Christmas.

Merry Christmas, Nicole! I loved Dry as Rain (I liked it better than Crossing Oceans.) You’ll also love your Kindle. I’d still rather hold a real book, but the Kindle comes in very handy. I haven’t downloaded as many books as Brenda K, but I’m sure I’ll catch up.
Glad I didn’t get a Vikings hoodie. This year I’d have to wear a paper bag over my head while wearing the hoodie. The ragging from our cheese-head neighbors never stops. 😉

I’m attached to the real books, too, Bren, and looking forward to Dry As Rain.
Uh-oh: cheese-head neighbors! We were rooting for Chicago last night just because, and we all hate Chicago. So I guess that says how much we detest Green Bay. I love my Seahawks, but most of our season’s blame since about the sixth game on lies directly at the QB spot. Sigh. No relief from that anytime soon either . . .
