****Caution: Rant****

Round One: Let me address this problem first. I'm mad at the NFL. I'm angry because they're as politically correct as the, well, as the politicians. And it makes me sick. Because the so-called fans of the game are "outraged" because of the bounty hunters in football. Really? Every time a player goes on the field to compete, he is asked to hit his opponent hard. If he can intimidate his opponent by stunning tackles, all the better. It's called football. No, we don't want to see any of them get hurt, but look at the sizes of these competitors. Their speed, their muscularity, their intensity. Unleashed. Controlled mayhem. Look at the highlight reels. See the contortions of these athletes catching passes, throwing passes, running into defenders, pursuing quarterbacks? It's not a girly game. People watch football because it's technical skills-meet-power collisions. No, we don't want to see the attitudes of "the assassin" revisited. We want to see fair games, hard hits, little interference by the referees, and the ongoing display of the athletes that were born to play the game of football. If coaches and players make stupid decisions, let it be handled in house. If a fine is warranted or even a firing: fine. Just get it done without sweeping the whole stupid uninformed pseudo fans into it.

Round Two: I'm furious about the Rush Limbaugh flap. Those who hate Rush, those who've never listened to his program, those who have no morals except when it comes to citing Rush for using "offensive" language to refer to Ms. Sandra Fluke's, a leftist women's activist, efforts to get free birth control and abortion provisions into Catholic universities and everywhere else under Obamacare, are thrilled about certain of his advertisers bailing like rats on a sinking ship. The latest "dismissal" by Ms. Fluke of Rush's apology for using the words "slut" and "prostitute" in his absurdist example of Ms. Fluke wanting contraception and abortion provided for "free" is another effort by the liberal left to give this woman her 15 minutes of fame for supposedly taking down the conservative talk radio king Rush Limbaugh.

Rush Limbaugh admitted sinking to the level of the left in his absurdist response to Ms. Fluke's plea to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and other women Democrats at their assembled press conference. He apologized not for his point which was reasonable and valid but for the choice of his words in reference to the example Ms. Fluke set before this panel. None of these women complained about the left's vulgarity when referring to Sarah Palin. Not one of them stood up and expressed their "outrage".

Ms. Fluke and the liberal left do more damage to womanhood than anything Rush Limbaugh could possibly say or do. I'm disgusted by their hypocrisy, double-standard, self-righteous ideology. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.

God, forgive me for the struggle in my soul. The anger I feel. Help me not to sin in my anger. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Amen and Amen! Poor little Miss Fluke. The little girl just out of high school assaulted by mean ole Rush. Oh wait; she’s actually almost 31, championed mandatory health care benefits for transgender operations, and purposefully enrolled at a catholic university so she could lobby for “women’s health” issues. Oh boy. Thanks Nicole for shining the light.

Thanks, Tim. I emailed all of Rush’s advertisers and cited their hypocrisy and cowardice. Since when is contraception and abortion a “healthcare” issue? Thanks for giving the additional facts for this woman who’s been championing the left’s cause for a long time.

As a Saints fan, I’m very dissapointed even though it happens all around the league. The Saints had established themselves as a model franchise.

To top it off, the Saints even have Drew Brees mad at them.

I see they had to franchise Brees.
You know, this isn’t new and it’s not particular to the Saints. People who woudn’t know a first down from a first up are “outraged”. Give me a break. I’m sorry for the Saints, but maybe the next guys will be smarter about it – whatever “it” is.

I can’t speak about football, but as for the Fluke/Limbaugh issue, I think there’s been a lot of ridiculous things said on both sides.
I understand Fluke’s argument when birth control is prescribed for health reasons. Even so, to provide it with no copay is pretty far-reaching. And regardless, I have a hard time believing the situation is as grave as Ms. Fluke tried to paint it…that so many women who need it for health reasons are suffering because of those religious people. Really, if she wants a cause, I think there are much greater causes out there. I can think of 10 off the top of my head.
On the Limbaugh side, he never should have said the things he did, and he’s not being balanced in his overall criticism. If women are truly not able to pay for birth control when it is prescribed for medical reasons, that’s a valid point, one I think that could be easily addressed. He’s choosing to emphasize the ridiculous side of Fluke’s argument, which is that these poor female students might become unexpectedly pregnant because they cannot afford birth control. (Because, as we all know, finding oneself naked in bed with another man does often take a woman by surprise. I mean, sometimes it just happens and there’s just nothing we can do about it.) Ridiculous as it is, the words ‘slut’ and ‘prostitute’ aren’t the way to make the point…and while we’re at it how about all those ‘mansluts’ who are on the receiving end?
Seriously though, unfortunately, we have people on the right and left who’d rather play the moral superiority game then sit down like adults and come up with real solutions. And here we are as a result.

Thanks for your comments, Jess. As far as contraception goes, it is available already through multiple governmental programs, the biggest of which is the disgusting Planned Parenthood which our tax dollars support. Catholics and other faith-based people pay taxes so theoretically they already pay for abortions and contraception. Healthcare as far as birth control pills are concerned – how about the warning labels on birth control pills? Many women can’t take them for “healthcare” or anything else, and, they wouldn’t be called “birth control” pills if that wasn’t their primary design and function.
Rush admitted his poor choice of words and apologized profusely. Anyone who’s familiar with his use of the absurd/extreme when combatting/illustrating the absurd which her presentation was, knows exactly how it was meant. And not to slander Ms. Fluke personally but to attack her argument. The phony “outrage” is just that: phony. None of these Congresswomen or media reps objected to Bill Maher’s(sp.?)calling Sarah Palin the “c—” word among others repeatedly. It’s all hypocrisy and bias.
The ability to “sit down like adults” to problem solve will likely not happen anytime soon. The gap is huge and widening every time the president opens his mouth to fuel the flames of class, spiritual, and emotional warfare. He speaks of the indecency of Rush’s comments yet when asked what he thought should happen to a child that lives through a botched abortion, he answered that the infant should be left to die as per the mother’s wishes. Indecent? He’s one of the political authors of indecency.

Now Patricia Heaton’s in trouble and what she said was not nearly as “bad” as what Rush said.

I know. And she apologized for her remarks. Since the liberal left “occupies” much of Hollywood, she might get some backlash. I’m proud of her.
