Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

I know the political rhetoric is accelerating and can be nauseating. I know it's difficult to decipher the facts from fiction. The information gathered here has been researched and documented. Honestly, aside of all peripheral reasonings, the facts speak for themselves. The following are not results of the Bush administration. They belong to President Obama. He owns them. Four more years of escalating deterioration is not what the USA needs to remain America. I hope you will read these facts and consider the one man who's responsible for them.

Fact checking:

Michelle Obama's dad, Fraser Robinson, in the '70s, was a pump operator at the Chicago city water plant. It's been said that he earned around $50-55,000 back in the 70s. $50,000 in the 1970s is approximately equivalent to $282,000 today. And her mother, Marian Robinson, was a long-time secretary at Spiegel's, the catalog store. Obama was raised by a banker. Obama went to the top private school in Hawaii. They both attended elite schools and Ivy League universities. Michelle went to Whitney Young. Whitney Young was a public magnet school for Chicago's upper class. Barack went to Punahou, which is the private prep school for the top strata of Hawaii society. They both grew up in two-parent American homes, Obama at his maternal grandparents.

America's debt under Barack Obama: $16,000,000,000,000+

No Congressional Budget. Obama submitted one budget. Not one Democrat or Republican voted for it. Not even one.

Gas prices higher under Barack Obama.

Food prices higher under Barack Obama.

Major tax increases: http://www.heritage.org/multimedia/infographic/2012/06/how-will-taxmageddon-impact-you

Unemployment higher under Barack Obama. Over 8.3% for 42 months of his presidency. Is estimated to be at over 15% overall because of those who've become ineligible for benefits and have yet to find work and those who are working at a lower level than their previous jobs. Female workers have suffered the most layoffs under Barack Obama. 23 million Americans not working. Estimates up to 80 million out of work.

Food stamps higher than ever before at 43,000,000 issued to people.

70% of the taxes in this country are paid by 2% of Americans.

The real net gain of new jobs under the Obama administration via the Dept. of Labor: 300,000 net gain in nearly 4 years, not 4.3 million jobs. Less jobs overall from businesses that couldn't keep going.

The party of death:https://aclj.org/abortion

You can choose to ignore the facts and continue to blame the Bush administration because of your devotion to a political party or figure or the dislike you have for the opposite party and their candidate. The noted decline in the Bush administration began after the Democrats gained control of Congress. Obama has proven he cannot "fix" what was considered broken in his eyes and it's obvious his philosophy from the beginning has been to rebuild America into a Socialist/Marxist nation. Why the facts fail to speak to some for this man's presidency is difficult to understand.

"Facts are stubborn things."

God, please remember your remnant. You're the only One who can bring hope and change. You're the only hope for this nation. And only you can change the hearts of mankind. We're desperate for you. In the Name, Authority, and Blood of Jesus, Amen.

Nicole, this is off the specific subject of the politics issue (which you don’t have to convince me of anyway!) *-) But I was captured by your prayer at the end “remember your remnant.”
I’m not sure I can articulate my question but I’ll give it a try. Obviously, anybody of sane mind, whether Christian or not, should be very concerned about the direction our nation is headed and whether we will in fact continue to be the United States of America.
I often wonder about this in relation to the history of Israel. We were a nation founded on Godly principles, but there is no guarantee to us that we will remain a free nation, only arrogance would cause us to assume so.
Israel lived by turns in great victory and utter defeat and enslavement according to whether they followed the commands of God. Sometimes they were literally carried away to other lands.
In the context of Israel’s history, how do you perceive God will treat His remnant here? I often wonder this because our nation’s values keep sliding away and I, at least, feel powerless to do anything to stop it. Forces much more powerful then my own seem to have free reign.
I’ve often wondered if, at the worst times in Israel’s history, when their people were literally captured and carried away, if there was a faithful remnant left behind in Israel. If I read correctly, it sounds like there was, such as those whom Nehemiah described when he returned to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. But we really don’t hear much about this remnant (at least that I recall).
Then there are stories of specific captives in other lands, such as Daniel.
So I guess the question that I’m not asking very well is–do you apply the same promises that God made to Israel to our current situation right here?

I think our nation is a contemporary “prototype” of Israel. Founded on godly principles and for so long upheld God in every aspect of governance. As such, I think there is and has always been in all Christian denominations a remnant who seeks after the Lord with a hunger and desire that supercedes the “averages”. This remnant has God’s interests at heart and recognizes the power of prayer. This is my opinion.
What our prayers determine as far as the outcome of this nation now as opposed to its eventual complete decline and apostasy, I cannot say. Again I think the prayers of the faithful/saints (2Chron.7:13-14) are the determiner of how quickly that decline is ushered in.
In my opinion, only prayer will keep this nation upright – and by that I mean at all levels. I can’t predict what God will do with His faithful remnant – as you pointed out multiple possibilities.
I also think spiritual warfare is horribly neglected by “the church”. Demonic spirits prevail in all kinds of personal, political, and emotional situations because Christians have no idea how to pray against them, about the specifics of the individual spirits. I think this factor is largely responsible for the malaise in some of our churches and in this country as a whole.
I do advise reading The Harbinger. The perspective is quite thorough, biblically accurate, and amazing.
I probably didn’t answer your question, Brenda, and for that I apologize. I can’t emphasize enough the power of prayer of spiritual warfare. The Holy Spirit lives in us. If all Christians prayed in the Spirit, anything could happen. When you don’t recognize your enemy, it’s easy to get dropped.
There is an amazing spiritual blindness going on in some Christians. It’s frightening to watch.
Prayer is our only weapon and should be wielded with might.

The Harbinger is generating quite a bit of interest if my library is any indication. I’m in the queue to borrow it, but there are about 13 people ahead of me on the waitlist.
