Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

I do like order, and I don't like clutter. Or at least I thought that was the case. But I'm forced to admit that my "desk" which is really the conversion of the dining room table is only orderly once in a while when I decide it's time to straighten things up. And even then it's not really neat and tidy. There's a lot of "stuff" on this table.

How about your desk? Do you have your own office or special area where you write? Or do you occupy various space in your home? Or do you prefer a laptop and a coffee shop?

Do you need to be a neat-nick to write well? Or are scraps of notes, a stack of books, pens, and other paraphernalia more conducive to your inspirational moments?

Lord, you built us all. Help us to use what you've given us to honor you no matter how we do it. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

I wish I could say my desk is neat and orderly, but the desk is used by all (5) members of my family, and it’s located in the “junk” room, the room in the house that stray things get placed when company’s coming. 😉 I can close the door, and voila!, I show a clean house!
Someday when the kids have all moved on, then maybe my desk will be completely organized.

Ahh, those somedays. I wish I could claim my desk is a mess because of others using it! But I can’t.

Oh I could never stand to have other people using my desk space. I’m a dog person–very territorial. Having someone use my desk would be like having someone use my deodorant or chapstick. ACK! STAY AWAY!!!!
As to neatness–I’m neither neat nor messy. I like a fairly clean desk, but due to the fact that I live out of one room in the entire apartment (have I mentioned lately that I miss living alone?) I can’t help but have my Bible and a few other daily use books and thinks stacked on the desk. There just isn’t enough space to go around.

Not enough space would be difficult. (I spent many parts of years living in tack rooms which varied in size but not by much. Think 8′ by 10′ maybe.)
I think my desk qualifies as neither neat nor messy too. It does have a bit of clutter but not grossly.
I’m sorry you have to split your living quarters, Brenda. It’s hard when you’d prefer to live solo.

Now that I finally figured out how to take pictures with my phone (it happened urgently this morning when I stumbled upon pears wearing knit caps at Walmart and I was so astonished I just had to learn to take photos on the fly), I’ll have to take a picture of my work space and send it. But give me a day or so to recover from youth conference first. LOL!
Pears wearing knit caps. What is this world coming to? (shaking head)
