Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

               TheDayAfterChristmas

May the residual joy of Jesus remain today and everyday from this moment on.

May it not only be about cleanup, back to work, sales and exchanges, and what to do, but rather ponder the question, "What will God ask of me this day?"

May the things that bring you anxiety, the things that incite fear, the things that produce guilt, the things that make you mad, the things that cause the tears, fade for just a while. Long enough to gain the perspective of Jesus: the same yesterday, today, and forever.

May you hunger for His touch, His words, His design – all just for you. You, the individual He created. You, the one He loves so much. You, not just any person but a unique and treasured son or daughter of the King.

Keep celebrating the day after Christmas. And every day after that. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
