Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

And the writings of a young girl on a great adventure:

     Postcard

A long time ago. A girl who didn't know Jesus but believed in God. A girl naive in so many ways. A girl penning a note to an acquaintance who after so many years found these postcards stashed away and shared them. In order: from London, Luxembourg, and Sion, Switzerland.

God, what an amazing thing you've done. You find us. You love us. You save us. You use us. How and why is beyond my very limited imagination. I love you, Lord, and I remain desperate for you. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

How old were you when you wrote those postcards? They are full of wisdom and show the passion of experiencing life that resides in you still.
I am thrilled for you and the experience of the adventure you had. Every person should get to have at least one such experience in a place that moves them, whether inside or outside their own country.

I was a just-turned 20, having left 19 behind a few short days before we left, and thank you for your sweet assessment, Brenda. Young, full of passion, not-so-smart but willing to experience the grand adventure while the Lord I didn’t know protected me from the evil one. To this day grateful for the amazing trip. At times I confess it’s so long ago much of it is blurred, but some memories are fresh and relive-able. 😉

Grateful for the fact that He has us in His Hands before we know it! All of the experiences before that event mark our lives. But, He is a Elohim of New Beginnings! Thank you for reminding me of this today, Nicole.

Lynnette, He protected me the whole journey. I know He knew me then and waited for the right time to draw me close. Thank God for His incredible mercy, grace, forgiveness, and protection.
My “wisdom” was from God, and I didn’t retain it for long until I met Jesus face-to-face. And even then – and now – I forget about His abundant supply at times. My bad for sure. Thank you, Bren, for your thoughts on that young girl. 😉
