In keeping with that rustic theme for kitchens, how's this? Like it. How 'bout you?
God, what abilities you give to people. Such design. Such beauty. Thank you is never enough. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

I love the light wood. And that big post is so pretty. Wish I could zoom in on the back–can’t quite tell if that back wall is the only cabinets or not. If so, it would need more (it takes surprisingly few pots, pans, bowls, plates and glasses to max out cabinets). But what a relaxing place it looks like! Sigh.

Love it, except for the low ceilings. But I love the stone & the wood.

Brenda, I’m thinking those doors in the back part lead to a pantry of some kind. And I couldn’t agree more: a kitchen needs lots of drawers and cupboards.
Bren, I wonder how low those ceilings really are. The chandelier over the table seems to leave a fair amount of clearance. I’ve learned, depending how and at what angle the picture’s taken, things can get distorted for the better or worse. But they’re definitely not “high”.

Well, I like the floors. We have those floors – minus the rugs – and love them. They are almost 25 years old, have never been refinished, and still look great. I’m okay with the ceilings, but everything else, especially the lights and the post, gives me an “old time-y” feeling.

Deb, I think the designer of this kitchen would be satisfied with hearing they’ve achieved that “old-timey” feeling. Definitely an old western feel to it. A contemporary bunkhouse look.

Yes, old western! You writers are able to come up with those perfect descriptions. It was definitely what the designer wanted to achieve, just not my thing. Another thing that I do appreciate is that it’s not cluttered and it’s open. These kitchen pics are so fun.

I don’t have a feeling one way or another about high ceilings. Being 5’2″ it doesn’t take much to please me. LOL! Besides, I figure that’s less space to heat or cool.

Yeah, we shorter people tend to view everything as higher than it is. 😉 As I examined it a bit differently through all of your views, I realized it doesn’t (at least in this picture) have much counter space. I long for counter space.
