Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

This very modern kitchen has an older, kind of classic feel to it, especially with the glimpse of the adjoining hallway, doors, and the wainscoting/kitchen wall. I don't like the ceiling, but everything else works including the view.

Lord, thank you for the ability to capture the old with the new, to use what's valuable from all different times. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Oh! I like this one. And is that a double farm sink? I like the farm sink look, but most of the time it’s just one huge sink and I keep thinking, “How in the world do people rinse their dishes if the sink doesn’t have two sides?”

It is a double sink. I can’t decide if I like the double sink as opposed to the one huge sink. I have the double sink and sometimes it’s not big enough to soak certain pans/dishes. This is pretty, isn’t it?

Yes, I definitely want a sink large enough to put in big baking pans or grill plates, but I don’t see what you can’t have your cake and eat it too–they should be making dual farm sinks that ARE large enough. 😎

Yep, gotta have the dual sinks! I do like the looks of this one–the cabinets, island, wainscotting, crown molding … but I don’t like that it looks closed off. I would definitely prefer an open concept kitchen. Otherwise, it’s gorgeous.

Love the style of this. The cabinetry is just stunning, and I love the floor. I prefer dual sinks, and these look fairly big too. I don’t think I care for the ceiling either, Nicole. It’s possible that it looks better in person. I would prefer an open look too. And you know I would like the stove to be closer to the sink. However, if I had this kitchen, I would just quit making pasta, though I don’t know what I would do with all those burners;)
