Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

I like the design but it's a bit too "white" for me. This one is made for a serious cook. What do you think?

Father, you provide for needs of all kinds. Your designs are based in beauty and truth. Thank you for all of the uniqueness. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

This one looks like a misfire. No contrast, and a super-skinny island. I don’t know how someone with that much stove would be able to utilize it with an island that small.
The only warmth about the space is the floor.

The floor is nice. It’s interesting you say that about that much stove requiring a bigger island. Our favorite local Italian restaurant has an open kitchen where all the cooking is visible. There is one counter that sits four on stools just adjacent to the preparation, viewing the entire food prep. There were about five in the cook/prep kitchen part with service staff in and out fluidly. That entire kitchen is about half the size of this one with a smaller island. It’s a busy place in there with little room, but it works. You need reservations to get a table, and the food is mouth-watering, the service wonderful, the prices right.

Love the floors. That stove/oven combo is way more than I need! And of course it’s too far from the sink. I love how there is so much storage. I think the camera angle is making the island look out of scale. I need to see it in person, okay?

I’ll join you, Deb, and we can both see it in person – wherever it is. 😉
