Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

The only things I don't like are the chair covers. Otherwise, I love it.

Ah, Lord, I guess I love the rustic beauty. I know all things of beauty come from you and your immense creativity. I'm in awe and always, always desperate for you. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Very elegant and pretty, though not what I’d personally go for.

I remember that one kitchen you posted which was absolutely fabulous. I do enjoy this one, not sure I’d choose it over some others we’ve seen.

I love the floors, counters and the light fixture over the island, but I don’t care for the stain on the cabinets at all. That’s what ruins it for me. The lights between the windows over the sink seem like they belong in a bathroom instead of a kitchen. I would get rid of those. Those island chairs look really comfy, but I would never cover kitchen chairs in that color!
Also, if any one is going to remodel a kitchen, my in-laws learned that an extra sink in the island is more of a hindrance than a help. They never had the situation in which two people had to be using a sink at the same time. Tasks can easily be divided differently, but there were many times they wished they had one entire usable surface on their island.

I wondered about that Debra. I see so many islands with sinks and I wondered how genuinely necessary it was.

I like the rustic stain and the windows. The sink in the island is neither a deal breaker nor a necessity for me. I can see rinsing vegetables for a salad in it or rinsing one’s hands.
