Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

                 Family-reunion-sign

Friday I will have a reunion with two best friends from my childhood. We grew up together until after 7th grade (the worst year of my youth) when I moved way far north of our neighborhood. When you're too young to drive, it seems like another country. A different school, friends to be made, none to replace my two dear girlfriends. There was the telephone and occasional trips to one another's house, but we were truly separated by several miles. Over time everyone knows how life can take people away from each other and each of our lives became separate entities.

A few years ago I reconnected through Facebook with my BFF Debbie, and although we don't get a lot of time together, we do email. Debbie found our third friend during her inquiry about their high school reunion. Thanks to Debbie, the three of us will reunite at her house tomorrow. I haven't seen my other BFF since high school! Believe me, that was a long time ago.

It's a beautiful thing to realize old friendships and reunite after so much life and so many years. I can't wait.

Father, I know you ordained this time together. I'm so thankful. Please bless our time together and may you be glorified in it all. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
