Love, love the dark wood & the big island, very warm! Which is quite the contrast to the back wall which is too industrial for me. But give me that wood & that island (with a not-white top & no sink), & that’s a great start. 🙂

I know the white is scary (I’d be the first to spill on the stools), but it goes so well with the dark wood. Just the diversity in styles: I love the back wall – I think it appeals to my sequential factor. 😉

Pretty but industrial was the first word that struck me when I saw it. Not for me but I can see it being the perfect fit in the right home.

To me, everything in this kitchen is pretty but not everything in this kitchen “goes together”. I’m particularly thinking about the black legs of the stools next to the shade of wood on the island. But then, I don’t think like designers do.

Deb, I can see your objection. Not only are the stool legs black, the cushions appear to be cream rather than pure white. I don’t mind the black and brown combo but probably wouldn’t have done it.
Brenda, yeah, I’ve discovered I don’t mind certain “industrial” looks, not that it’s the perfect kitchen for me either.
