One of the all-time bests of Bellisario

      

The promo for Season 8 of the long-running TV series Magnum P. I. Loved this show. Tom Selleck was fantastic as the iconic former Naval officer turned private investigator and security provider for the lavish Robin's Nest coupled with the rigid and cunning estate manager Higgins (John Hillerman) and his two Dobermans Zeus and Apollo.

 

Lord, may your Spirit search Hollywood and seek those whose hearts are open to your Son. You're the only One who knows our hearts and what we are capable of. May these talented people know you are the One who gave them their incredible abilities. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

    That was a great show. What a great ensemble cast, too. Though just about every time I see Tom Selleck I’m reminded of an episode of Charlie’s Angels where he played a one-time brief stint boyfriend of Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith). In the episode, I think her life was in danger for some reason and she dumped him to “protect him” (if recall is correct) and I remember thinking to myself, “Girl are you crazy?” LOL!!!!!!

    Ha! Right?!
    I looked for the scene where Magnum found his wife with a Viet Nam dignitary in Hawaii (he’d thought she was dead for many years) and saved his life. He rescued her and brought her home to the estate for one night. That kiss was stunning, maybe number one on my list of best kisses ever. But I couldn’t find it.
