Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

I like the cabinets, but the table/island is too much of the same color. It makes this fabulous kitchen look bland and one dimensional. It's (the table/island) so big there's very little room to move around it with the stools. I understand keeping to a "theme" and color because we've seen some with too much contrast, but this? It blends so much there's no distinction except for the brick which I like, but even the beams and ceiling are all the same. Your thoughts?

Lord, there is beauty even in the simple or mundane. You've given differences to us all and I can only imagine the eclectic beauty of heaven. Thank you for it all. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

I like it overall but that table is waaaay too big for the space. And you’re right–a little color contrast would sharpen it up.

I might like it if I saw it in person. But, yeah, looking at a picture…”bland” was the first word that came to my mind. With the second look, I decided my main objection was the big table. It just overpowers the room. And it sure looks like the stove is across the room from the sink. I like the style of the cabinets, even the shade of the wood. I like the flooring, the windows and the brick walls. I’ve never been a fan of pot racks because I don’t want my pots collecting dust, and they give me the feeling of “cooking is such hard work”.
I’m going to miss these kitchen pictures, Nicole.

Very likeable, I agree Brenda and Deb, but, yes, table overtakes the room and leaves little mobility around it. Lots to like, but brighten it up with some color somewhere.
I’m sure there are multiple pictures of more kitchens, but I’m running out of them – at least the ones I remotely like. So . . . we’ll see. 😉
No pot rack for me either. I had the one in our new house taken down and gave it back to the seller.
