Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

Five miscellaneous things:

Nothing like a good purse. Unfortunately, I wore out two of my favorites and haven't been able to find another one like them.

Enjoying my new laptop (Dell).

A good cobbler or shoe/leather/purse repair person is a great asset.

Experiencing another disappointing venture with a new-to-me author.

Nothing like Mt. Rainier just before dawn out my kitchen window. Breathtaking.

Father, I'm desperate for you. You are the great I AM. You have no equal. You are the ultimate. So very thankful you rescued me. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

I haven’t carried a purse in eons. The two I have will last me forever. LOL! I use a fanny pack all the time. It’s easy to shove into my backpack before I leave for the day. Purses always fall off my shoulder and make me crazy.
RE: Laptops: Have had some good Dells. My main pc is a several years old ASUS 17″ that has been a top-notch workhorse. It’s gotta be at least 10 years old by now. It’s starting to struggle with a few things after the many upgrades of windows over the years, but I’m hanging on to it as long as I can. Ole ASUS has been very faithful.

No longer use shoulder bags – prefer hand carry handles. Yes, dropping off the shoulder makes me crazy. Also, after back-packing with “essentials” (of course that made it full) around Europe many eons ago, I don’t do backpacks.
Both my PC and laptop are Dells. Wore our first Dell out, son has the second one, mine is relatively new. And now the Laptop.

Yeah, I’m fortunate to have a good purse that my husband gave me for Christmas more than 10 years ago.
We have 3 desktop computers, 1 laptop and 1 tablet. There are only 2 of us in this house, and we use all of them every day! And my husband often brings home at least one of his work laptops.
I’ve heard there’s a good shoe repairman here, but I’m VERY fond of my hair stylist.
Enjoying the 5th book in the Navy Justice Series by Don Brown, after reading the first 4 last month! I was introduced to this author on this blog!
Yes, there’s nothing like a beautiful view of God’s creation in the morning!

Oh I had the same hair stylist for many years, but she had to leave the area. I found another girl in town after we moved, and she did a great job, and now I just called to make an appointment only to learn she no longer works there. AAAACCCKK! I have naturally curly hair, and not everyone cuts it well. The thankless journey of finding a new stylist awaits with my hair now driving me nuts. :/
