Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

Five things I love about autumn:

Football

Colors of tree leaves, etc.

End of Daylight Saving Time

The clothes (all the greys, browns, blacks)

Dressing up on Blue Friday (in Seahawks colors, including blue and green lipstick and eyeshadows)

How 'bout you?

God, the seasons you've given us each have their unique beauty and insights. Only you. Thank you for it all. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

The departure of the humidity from hell (we may only get it 2 months of the year, but it’s the longest 2 months of your life!)
    Time off (i.e. holidays)
Starting in September, the return of cooler evenings
Fall is my regrouping time–start planning goals for next year

I like that “regrouping time”, Brenda. It’s a bit of a melancholy time for me with the ending of summer, but the beauty weaves its glory all around and I gently succumb to the new season. (My husband’s and my birthdays and anniversary happen in September within a 5 day span too right after fall begins.)

From what I understand, Minnesota has high humidity with its heat? The cooler weather before the severe temps of winter must feel refreshing. Yes, the fresh scent and colors. My life is pretty slowed down on purpose year round, but I’m sure after it’s busy for you, it feels good to take a break.
