Say what you will about Tom Cruise as a person, but as an actor in the Mission Impossible films, he's terrific. I confess there are certain actors I cannot ignore as far as their political leanings or their off the cuff absurd remarks, practices, religions, etc., so I don't pay money to watch or buy their movies. Others, well, there's no good explanation why I persist in giving them a view other than perhaps they haven't reached that "banning" point.

Fallout is one excruciating, exciting, filled to the brim with terrifying special effects, and for the most part it feels like it's non-stop until the much needed subdued end which is unsuspected. I felt myself jolting, cringing, suppressing vocal reactions to some of the stunts. When leaving the movie, you feel the experience of having been over stimulated!

So, take it or leave it, but if you love thrillers, Fallout is the film for you.

Father, you know the end from the beginning. I pray you would reach those who are open to your provision for their souls. We are all desperate for you. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

The reason I can’t watch Tom Cruise ultimately has nothing to do with him personally. It goes back to Top Gun. When Goose’s character was killed instead of Tom Cruise’s, that was it for me. I’ve never been able to tolerate watching him in anything else due to the injustice.
May not be rational, but that’s the way it is. LOL!!!!!

That’s funny. You had to know he was going to survive – since he was the rising star in that film. Hey, we have our reasons for who we like and watch in the acting world. And that’s that. 😉

Yes, but if they’d killed off HIS character, the other guy might’ve been the rising star. 😎 Anyway, I know I’m outvoted. Everybody but me liked the movie the way it was. LOL!!!!

I thought MI: Fallout was one of the best in the series. It’s failings we’re of the technical variety. I really don’t care for this new ‘washed out color’ camera work. Other than that, this was a wall to wall action flick that rarely let the tension subside for even a moment. Cruise may be a political and religious loon, but he can certainly act and produce a great film. Fallout is absolutely one of them. Hopefully, someday Cruise will discover the true spiritual source of his talent.

Amen to all of it, Ken. (And spoken like a true great photographer. 😉 )
