Okay, favorite five male characters of older/past TV series:

1. Going way back to "Mark McCain" played by Johnny Crawford in The Rifleman

2. "Asst. Inspector Steve Keller" played by Michael Douglas in The Streets of San Francisco.

3. "Stoney Burke" played by Jack Lord (in Stoney Burke) and "Detective Captain Steve McGarrett" in the original Hawaii Five-0.

4." Sgt. Rick Hunter" played by Fred Dryer in Hunter

5. "Thomas Magnum" played by Tom Selleck in Magnum, P. I.. (And I loved John Hillerman as "Higgins".)

How 'bout you? Remember to go back in time to pick your favorites of a different era.

Father, thank you again for the vast talents you disperse. May each one know the One who gave them theirs. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

My top 2 are easy pickins:
    1. Spock (from the only Star Trek that counts–the original. 😎
    2. Adam Cartwright (Bonanza)
Spock is far & away #1. Adam will always have a very high & special rating for me. But after these 2, it gets tougher–not because of too few choices but because of too many for those remaining few slots.
    3. Rick & AJ Simon (they’re brothers, I can’t split them up. LOL!)
    4. Larry Appleton of Perfect Strangers. This may not have been a serious drama, but I loved the fact that Larry was just a regular flawed guy trying to make it through life and learning his lessons.
    5. Ben Cartwright–whom I add grudgingly, because sometimes the way he treated Adam I wanted to knock his block off. Yet overall, he was a wise sage & I always wanted to be a daughter of the Ponderosa. 😎
If I added a sixth I would also add Jonathon Quail Higgins from Magnum PI. Another sage who was funny & delightful. As well as Spenser (Robert Urich-Spenser for Hire and also his role as Dan Tanna in Vegas). But I better stop now before the list gets too long. 😎

Columbo/Peter Falk was a great character. And Bob Newhart was always hilarious.
I liked Simon&Simon and Spenser for Hire.

Yes, those two were definitely the best characters from my youth.
I remember liking how Mr. Dixon seemed to like teaching.
And Dr. Steve Kiley was handsome. And that was when I was first at the age to appreciate a handsome man. lol
And the character David was such a good older brother. I am the oldest in my family, and I remember thinking it would be nice to have someone looking out for me!

I never saw Room 222. Grant Goodeve is now a local guy to our area and had a TV show where he took the viewing audience to different special locations around Washington. I don’t know if it’s still on. Eight Is Enough was a good show.
