Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

            29-green_metal_number_5

             Five things I'm not fond of . . .

Spring showers that turn into days of deluges

Roundabouts (Prefer 4-way stops. We are in the USA after all.)

Certain brands or styles of vehicles (which shall remain nameless – except ALL electric/"smart" cars: hate them)

Time-travel and most fantasy novels/films

Cell phones

Father, thank you for purpose, meaning, and forgiveness in this life where my mistakes and wrongdoing always seem to outnumber the things I do right. Thank you is never enough. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Hot, muggy summers. Give me winter any day!
Random advice givers, especially those with whom I’m not close. Some sort of relationship is necessary for that advice to carry weight.
    Marketing!
A messy house–which is what mine is right now. 😦 BUT, my daughter just bought a house (yay!) and my son is moving in with her and they’re both taking all their stuff with them. 😀
Spicy foods. I definitely have a Scandinavian palate!
Oh, and for the record, I’m actually developing a fondness for roundabouts over 4-way stops. People around here have no clue how to do 4-way stops–it’s a free-for-all!

Oh boy! Some people are never short on advice, are they? Good point.
Marketing for sure (although I’d probably use the “hate” word for it.)!
Wow! That should help with the less messy!
Hahaha! Can’t tolerate the spicy, huh?
Yeah, I’m not big on roundabouts. We’ve had (and still do have) 4-way stops and most people do a good job with them here. Roundabouts waste roadway and cost a fortune for accomplishing the same thing where someone in the loop usually has to stop anyway.
    Thanks for pitching in, Bren!
