Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

                  Th

I've been so busy on getting the final formatting changes made with my new book that I've lost track of time and forgot to get my posts ready yesterday and today. So here's a Friday "fun" thing for anyone who staggers by here this Friday.

Have you ever? :

Broken a bone

Ridden in the back of a police, law enforcement vehicle

Got sent out of a grade school class for uncontrolled laughing

Square-danced as an adult

Fallen off a horse

Wanted to be an actor

Sang a solo song in public

Climbed a mountain

To answer your unspoken question(s), I can answer yes to five of these.

God, you are my true inspiration. Apart from you, I can do nothing. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Now, that’s not fair. You have to tell us which of these you said yes to!
    1) No broken bones, but I tore my ACL & meniscus by jumping off a stage at church!
    2) Haven’t rode in a police car, but it would be cool (as long as I wasn’t under arrest!)
    3) Nope! 🙂
    4) Nope!
    5) Yes! Had just been put on a horse along with my older brother & sister (we were little, obviously). I started leaning, then we all started leaning, then we all fell!
    6) No, but my daughter does and is!
    7) Many times!
    8) Well, it depends upon how technical you want the answer to be. I’ve walked in the mountains, but, no have never done mountain climbing.

    Which 5 Nicole!?
I’m guessing you’ve never sung a solo in public and never technically climbed a mountain, but I’m stumped on the other thing you didn’t do! Please share…
I’ve sung a solo in public.
I’ve not done actual mountain climbing. I hiked up to Vernal Falls and can’t remember if we went on to Nevada Falls in California. Hiking up Mt. Fuji was an amazing experience.

Deb, you know me too well. No, I’ve never sung a solo in public – what a disaster that would be! And, no, I’ve never climbed a mountain – I’m terrified of heights. And the last time I square-danced was in 6th grade. So there you have the 3 “no’s”.
