Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

Senior picture of my handsome husband with a little artwork flair done by a friend who made a print of the original. We didn't know each other in school. We eventually met at the racetrack. A long time ago. Love this man.

Father, thank you for your patience in bringing us to you. We had so much extra baggage that we had to discard. Apart from you, we could do nothing. Thank you for all those you put in place to help us. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Love it! He has sort of a Beatles vibe going.

It was that time of the culture. He later had hair down to the middle of his back – the MOST gorgeous hair I’ve ever seen. All he had to do was wash and towel dry. Let it finish naturally. That almost black with natural wave, thick and shiny. Oooh. How I loved his long hair. He keeps promising he’ll grow it back for me when he retires. 😉 He still has wonderful hair. Only a few grey hairs! And he’s still handsome. 😉 He’d be so embarrassed if he knew I posted this. Hahaha!
(Side note: he never liked the Beatles. Preferred The Rolling Stones.)

Great picture! Very handsome and thoughtful looking, looks so mature for a high school senior.

I agree, Deb, it’s a great picture. Thoughtful, yes. Mature? Ha! Sorry, but he’d tell you he was anything but mature at that time of his life. All of our pictures on these posts (of Throwback Thursdays) were taken during the time we didn’t know Jesus. That came much later, and so it was accompanied by many regrets and a lot of baggage.
