Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

Not that long ago but back a little ways, my novel Seeing . . . has touched a few hearts. I know it did mine to write it.

"When a waitress and a widower truck driver are thrown together out of desperation and necessity, temptations rise high and reveal the need for true love. But hardened Bonita Carson wants nothing to do with the real love that insightful Micah Jones has to offer. Can Micah ultimately rescue Bonita from herself before it’s too late, or will Bonita choose to leave and continue living a life of hopelessness?"

Father, only you provide what I need to write stories. Only you. Thank you is not enough. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Often when we write, we have hopes and dreams of reaching the readers, of somehow making a difference in their lives. BUT even more impactful, I think, is the difference writing a book makes in my own life. I learn so much from my characters, and God opens my eyes to see a glimpse of what He sees.

Excellent point, Bren. And so true. It’s therapy at times, I think.
