Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

This is not a picture of our property, but it could be. We've got about 9 inches and counting at 26 degrees. Not our usual weather.

We didn't exactly have a white Christmas. Flurries began on Christmas night, but by morning there were 4 inches and it just kept adding to them.

So. It's very white around here and we don't exactly have the overall "conditioning" driving-wise of those states where this is considered the norm for this time of year. We shall see . . .

Father, please protect my guys as they must traverse the roads to work tomorrow [today]. Please guard them and give them safe passages for all their different destinations. Please, Lord. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

That could pretty much describe the weather here, though Minnesota’s (usually) more prepared for it. 🙂

Way more prepared than this side of Wa. state. The other side is far more used to it, their winters have plenty of snow and freezing temps.
Aside from the two hot-rods in our family, our vehicles are 4-wheel drive. My husband’s had to drive semis in it – chain up and all that so driving his 4X4s in it is normally not too much of a challenge except for those crazy western Wa. drivers that just don’t get it.
My rig’s good in it, but I need new tires so I’ll be waiting it out. Supposed to be good in a couple of days. Lots of snow to thaw this time.
