. . . and how to do it. Such is the quandary of marketing a new novel.

So. If I told you I thought this one was one of my best (which I do) or if I told you that this one touched my heart in an amazing way (which it did) or if I told you this one has one of the most striking covers front and back (which it does), would any of that matter to you?

Tell me, please, because I really want you to read this one. What would matter to you?

Father, you give me the characters, the stories, the inspiration to write and complete a story. Apart from you, I can do nothing. Please, Lord, help me to do all that you ask of me. And may I do it well. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Yep, I’m with you. I greatly dislike marketing. And just because I might think it’s my best book ever or the most important, that doesn’t mean the reader will be swayed one way or another.
Oh, and I will read your book!

Thank you, Bren. Appreciate you more than words can say.
Marketing a novel is/can be an expensive and worthless exercise in futility. If I found what really worked, I’d probably use/do it.
With readers like us, we look for what we want, see it, buy it. If I like it enough, I review it here. I’ve just read three novels and probably won’t review any of them. Not bad but when I have to wonder what to say about them . . . and two of them were by my regular favorites. Disappointed.
