One group or your choice. Go!

Father, thank you for everything writing-related. Thank you for the stories you've given me to tell. Thank you is never enough. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

“Favorite” is always a tough thing for me to choose because my favorites change with the wind. How about (5) Favorite books I’ve read this year so far:
Relative Silence by Carrie Stuart Parks
The Barrister and the Letter of Marque by Todd M. Johnson
The Scent of Lilacs by Ann H. Gabhart
Into the Flood by Milla Holt
Through the Lettered Veil by Candace West

I know exactly what you mean, Bren. And with me, I need all kinds of qualifiers – like “in this genre”, etc.
I somehow missed Relative Silence – I really like Carrie Stuart Parks (although not too much Woman of Shadow).
The other stories I’m unfamiliar with, but I’m aware of those authors.
Here is my quid pro quo for you: (5 of my favorites this year so far -I’m cheating with groupings)
Oath of Loyalty (Vince Flynn/Kyle Mills)
Turn to Me, Her One and Only (Becky Wade)
The Water Keeper, The Letter Keeper, The Record Keeper (Charles Martin)
    Shoal Waters (Normandie Fischer)
    Broken Together (Brenda S. Anderson)
True Believer, Savage Son, The Devil’s Hand, In the Blood (Jack Carr)
    How’s that? 🙂

I’m behind on the Flynn/Mills books and the Becky Wade books. I’m reading The Water Keeper right now, but am struggling to find time to read! I should have put Shoal Waters in my top 5! Excellent story!
And I’m thrilled to see Broken Together in your favorites. 😀 That book holds a special place in my heart.

I so understand that “special place in my heart” thing. That’s exactly how I felt/feel about Then . . . you. I think that shows up in our writing. You did a great job with Broken Together. Terrific story, Bren.
