Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

                        2

The question often asked is do you as a reader prefer ebooks or physical books? Another question is do you prefer fiction or non-fiction. And still another question is do you prefer hardcover or softcover books?

So which is it for you or is it "all of the above"?

Long novels, short novels, novellas, or short stories?

Memoirs, biographies, auto-biographies, true crime?

Thrillers, mysteries, suspense, love stories, romances, women's fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, historical, historical romance, westerns, magical realism?

What's your reading pleasure?

Father, thank you for books. Thank you for readers and writers. Thank you for sharing your creativity. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

I used to enjoy primarily paperback, but I’ve grown to love my Kindle Paperwhite. I can read on it anywhere. It’s easy to bring on vacation, so I can read multiple books without the heavy load. I still purchase paperback, but I’ll often read the books on my Kindle so I don’t damage the paperback. 😀
    As for the rest…
    fiction
    long novels
    biographies
thrillers, mystery, suspense, women’s fiction. I like a little bit of romance, but when secondary to the main story.

I love my Kindle Paperwhite too for the same reasons you gave. Plus, it’s so much easier to quit on a book that costs so much less than a hardback or softcopy. Less regrets about the price. I’ll save the hardback purchases for Vince Flynn’s/Kyle Mills.
You probably know my answers to the other questions by heart:
    Fiction
    long novels
Thrillers, mysteries, suspense, selected romance/love stories

Used to always buy the hardback when it first came out because they look so good on my shelves. but my hands can’t hold a big thick heavy book anymore without feeling sore. So, I usually read on my paperwhite or paperback. The kindle is certainly best for reading while riding my exercise bike. Been reading a Terri Blackstock this week during my workout and I think it’s keeping my heart rate up a bit without the exercise:)
I love to read thrillers, mysteries, and suspense the most, but also enjoy historical, romance with humor, and even a young adult novel here and there. Pretty much any genre if it’s a good story.

Seems like I’ve always bought the softcovers until recently. Now, for the books I want to last forever, I buy the hardbacks. I do love my Kindle for the convenience of it – and that I can read in the dark if if want to. 😉
You’re a versatile reader, Barb. And author!
