The scales of justice as they're called sometimes get unbalanced. In both directions. The guilty go free. The innocent are imprisoned. And it's not "fair". As children we often cried and sputtered, "It's not fair!" And, no, it might not have been - or it could've been. At the time we probably didn't have the…

Yay! Is it really the "final adventure"? Hoping not. There's always another good pirate tale. Right?   Father, you hear my prayers for souls. May it be your will. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

My friend Sheila in high school was crazy about Felix Cavaliere of The Young Rascals. I think this was their best song.   Father, you're in the heart business. Only you know ours. Please change those hearts of stone to flesh. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

It's no secret: Sibella Giorello is on the short list of my favorite authors. Love her. So much. Literary. Street-savvy. Hilarious. Emotional. Tear-worthy. It's all there in the pages of her novels. From laugh out loud malapropisms to gut-wrenching emotional heart pain, Sibella captures the unique characters that surround the one and only Raleigh…
