Restless and uneven. Almost afraid to start a task, thinking it might get interrupted. Something’s out there. In the winds of life. Waiting to blow into the present and overtake the past. Expectancy. Feeling it creates an uncertainty. How soon? How long? The ever present “What?” and “When?”
It’s about good, not dread, this time. Maybe the waiting is nearly over. Maybe so many prayers are on the verge of being answered. Is it time? I wonder.
Lord, you’re quiet but not silent. I wait and learn to wait some more. You must always teach me patience, and I’m sorry for that. I’m so much better than I used to be. Thank you for that. Keep me ready to do what you have for me, and when I don’t think I can do it, remind me where I find my strength and determination. You are my King, my Lord, and I want nothing more than to bless you, and since I fail often in my endeavors, I ask that you would continue to help me obey. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
