Tolerance and Grace are not the same. But intolerance in “the church” brings out the call for grace. So the pendulum which has somehow swung way too far to the condemnation mode does the gargantuan swing to the acceptance of everything mode such as allowing homosexual ministers to shepherd wayward flocks and rendering excuses for homosexual pedophilia being caused by the requirement of celibacy. ? ? ?
When a church has some successful, working programs/ministries which fit nicely for their body of believers and don’t require excessive funds and rabid participation, why must there always be newer, hipper, and less evangelical programs borrowed from some mega church which caters to many and ministers to few?
When the warnings of fire and brimstone fail to generate the message of God’s love, why does the message swing over to riches and happiness for all because of God’s love?
When legalism chokes the life out of a congregation, why then do those who desire change begin to abandon truth and resort to man-made cultish aberrations of freedom by misusing and eventually eliminating the Word of God?
God, restore us to the balance you desire. In the name of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
