Both Lethal Weapon (top picture) and Shooter (Ryan Phillipe pictured) will see a second season. I'm thankful for that. Although I don't know where they will take the plot for Shooter since they resolved the primary focus of Season One, I'll be interested to see what the writers will do. Lethal Weapon is a rare mix of drama and humor with a touch of tenderness and a growing chemistry between the co-stars. Shooter proved to be a rare and fascinating study of long guns and snipers and presented a formidable hero with a devotion to his family.
Needless to say, I enjoy good television. Since "good" television can be a rarity these days often filled with political agendas and/or real raunch, it's refreshing to see a series that's not afraid to portray a former military sniper and his family (Mark Wahlberg is one of the producers) on network TV.
Father, my prayer is for these gifted men and women to know and understand from whom their talent originates. To realize how deeply they're loved by their Creator. Touch them, Holy Spirit. Let them know the Truth. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
