Into the Fire

Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

Five things I really don't like:

Being late and forgetting to do a blog post.

Country music.

Bad/obnoxious/silly book covers

Blurbs that give away the entire plot of a novel.

Bad drivers.

Ah, Lord, some days we've got it, some days we don't. Every good and perfect gift comes from you. Apart from you, I can do nothing. Thank you for today and all those that led up to today. I love you, Lord. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Okay for this kind of list I’ll have to work really hard to shorten it. LOL! Hmmm….
Being stressed to the point of being unable to think.
    Stupid people.
When green lights are literally only 3 seconds long.
    Cell phones
    Sports

Gotta agree with you on those stupid green lights and cell phones.
Love Seahawks football (and the UW Huskies), like baseball when my team (Mariners) is playing well which is about 50% of the time. Loved the Sonics when they were in their heyday with Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton (NBA). Now never watch the NBA.
Let me say/qualify this: I don’t like the behavior of people who act stupidly because they are deceived.

I’m completely with you, Nicole, on country music & spoiler blurbs! And I’ll agree with BK about cellphones. Maybe it’s not even the phones I don’t like, but peoples’ dependence upon them.
Now for 5 of my own:
*Tailgaters (or any driver who doesn’t give my car its personal space!)
*Peas – I can’t get passed the smell.
*People who have to bring their dogs everywhere! (And I’m not speaking service animals…)
*Loud-blasting music in the neighborhood that thumps the house
*Hot, muggy weather. I’d much rather it be twenty below than 90 above.

With you, Bren, on the dependence on cellphones. Ugh.
I confess I only “tailgate” when drivers are way below the speed limit. Drives me crazy. Helloooo: there are actually other people on this road!
Yeah, not likin’ high temps with high humidity, but as cold as I’d like to go is in the 20s with no snow. And mid to upper 80s is perfect around here. Up in the 90s is pretty much too hot in our area.
Yeah, the big car sub-woofers are annoying! We’re used to loud music with our son’s audio-phile set up (not in his car). (He’s a sound man.) At least it sounds great. Hahahaha.
