Passionate thoughts about the world of writing and the Power of God

. . . in a love song was inspired by the Marshall Tucker Band tune “Heard It in a Love Song.” It also happened to be one of the two novels I started while writing Race – yes, frozen up on writing Race, I began two other novels, something I’d never done before or since.

I couldn’t help but wonder who would be the guy singing that song? So, I created him, or my version of him. Until he meets the girl.

“Construction-worker Dale Rivers is new to this job in a small eastern Washington town. He’s lived his life the way he’s wanted since he was fifteen, but twenty years later he’s starting to doubt his lifestyle. A pretty woman, Patricia Edison, grabs his eye, and the attraction is mutual, but she quickly establishes some ground rules he’s never had to observe. She wants love. He wants her. Who’s going to give in first? And what will it take for both of them to get what they want?”
